The Long Island Ice Tea

The Long Island Ice Tea cocktail is a drink that has been around for a long time and so many people have enjoyed this cocktail. The Long Island Ice Tea mixes a few different liquors and that is what makes this drink a favorite for so many people. This old favorite is a cocktail that is offered at all kinds of bars and restaurants and every place pretty much makes them the same way. It is kind of like the saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

The Long Island Ice Tea is made with:

half an ounce vodka

half an ounce gin

half an ounce triple sec

half an ounce light rum

half an ounce tequila

two ounces sour mix

dash of cola
I have tried The Long Island Ice Tea out in many restaurants and bars, but this time I wanted to try to make it myself. I am not exactly a bartender so I was kind of nervous about how the cocktail was going to taste. It turned out to be very good and I enjoyed it a lot. I figured I might be biased because I made it so I asked my cousin to try it and she loved it. The Long Island Ice Tea is very strong. It is not like most cocktails where it is equal parts liquor and juice, this cocktail is majority alcohol. Be careful when drinking this cocktail and pace yourself, but it is worth it because you are guaranteed to find something about The Long Island Ice Tea that you will love.
